The Karuk Tribe is seeking members for the Indian Child Welfare Committee with the purpose of protecting the best interests of the child and promoting the stability and security of the Karuk Tribe and its Indian families. The ICW Committee is an advisory committee to the Karuk Tribal Council and/or Karuk Tribal Health Board. The Committee meets at least once each month in Happy Camp. Members are expected to travel as necessary to attend meetings, In-State trainings, and ICWA CA State conference if travel funds are available.
The Karuk Tribe is seeking members for the People’s Center Advisory Committee, which advises on operations, funding, programs, and activities for the People’s Center in Happy Camp. Members meet monthly, assist with implementation and fundraising, and help advocate the Center’s role to the Tribal Council and community.
The Karuk Tribe is seeking members for the Tribal Gaming Authority to oversee and guide the Tribe’s Gaming Enterprise, including operations, budgeting, compliance, and supervision of management. Members must meet eligibility and licensing requirements, attend regular meetings, and maintain confidentiality while serving.
The Karuk Tribe is seeking Tribal Members to serve on the Judicial Advisory Committee (KJAC), which helps ensure the ethical operation of the Tribal Court while supporting strategic planning, outreach, and education. Members meet quarterly, may attend special meetings, and receive stipends and mileage reimbursement for their participation.
The Karuk Tribe is seeking Applications for Consideration from Tribal Members to fill the term of one vacant seat on the TERO Commission.
