Services Provided
Child Advocacy Program
This program ensures that children involved in Tribal Court proceedings have their voices heard and their rights protected. Advocates work closely with families, service providers, and the Court to promote the best interests of each child.
Child Victim Services
Provides compassionate, culturally sensitive support for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma. Services include advocacy, referrals, and assistance navigating the court process in a safe and supportive environment.
KFVP & DVSS
To provide Support Services tailored to the unique needs of individuals affected by domestic violence, teen dating violence, stalking, sexual assault or Family violence.


Missing & Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP)
The Karuk Tribe is committed to raising awareness, seeking justice, and providing support for families impacted by the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People. The MMIP program works to strengthen prevention, improve response efforts, and honor those affected by addressing this issue with compassion, advocacy, and cultural strength.

Domestic violence is an epidemic affecting individuals in every community regardless of age, economic status, sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, or nationality. It is often accompanied by emotionally abusive and controlling behavior that is only a fraction of a systematic pattern of dominance and control. Domestic violence can result in physical injury, psychological trauma, and in severe cases, even death. The devastating physical, emotional, and psychological consequences of domestic violence can cross generations and last a lifetime.
Taking Care of Our Sisters Shelter & 24/7 Hotline
Services include: a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, transitional housing, food, clothing, legal services, battered women’s support group, child care, job training, workshops, help filing restraining orders, and more.

A safe, confidential resource offering crisis intervention, shelter, and advocacy for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Humboldt County Domestic Violence, Eureka
Offers 24/7 crisis response, shelter, and counseling services to individuals and families experiencing domestic violence.

We offer advocacy, crisis intervention, court accompaniment, and referrals to community and Tribal resources. Our goal is to ensure that victims of crime feel supported, safe, and empowered throughout the healing process.
Services are available to Karuk Tribal members, descendants, and others within the Karuk jurisdiction who have experienced violence, abuse, or trauma. We provide support in a culturally respectful and confidential manner.
No. All services provided through the Karuk Victim Services Program are free of charge.
