So many wonderful collaborations on October 23, 2026!
A heartfelt thank you to the Siskiyou Domestic Violence & Crisis Center, and a special thank you to Carla Charraga, Executive Director, for hosting and bringing everyone together.

Their dedication to advocacy, collaboration, and supporting survivors throughout our communities is truly appreciated.
It was a pleasure to have Karuk Tribal Council Member Alma Mendoza, Presiding Judge T.J. Linville II, Siskiyou County Sheriff Jeremiah LaRue, and District Attorney J. Kirk Andrus present.

The meaningful conversations, shared perspectives, and opportunities to strengthen relationships across our communities were greatly appreciated.
Collaboration is about more than coming together. It means building trust, strengthening communication, understanding the challenges our communities face, and working together toward meaningful solutions and stronger support systems.

Having Tribal leadership, the judicial system, law enforcement, and community organizations at the same table creates opportunities to bridge gaps, strengthen advocacy, improve the support available to survivors, victims, and families, and honor the lives and memories of those who are no longer with us.
A very special thank you to Holly Courts for generously volunteering her time and continuously lending a helping hand. Her willingness to step in and support this important work is deeply appreciated, and her contributions have made a meaningful difference.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to Friday's conversations. We look forward to continuing these relationships and the important work ahead.
Rooted in Culture. United in Purpose. Forever Resilient.
