Farm Assistants at Tishániik Community Farm

Farm Assistants at Tishániik Community Farm will be responsible working under the direction of the Farm Manager to assist with some or all the various tasks involved in all aspects of the farm, including, but not limited to: preparing beds for planting, weed removal, mowing, weed eating, light construction, sowing, transplanting, harvesting, washing and distributing produce, and record keeping.

Farm Assistant must have a willingness to work and take direction, the ability to work well with others, stamina to do physical labor, be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

• Knowledge of farming and gardening is helpful, but not necessary.

• Must be willing to learn cultivation techniques utilized by farm manager.

• Food processing and preservation knowledge is helpful, but not necessary.

• Must have some form of transportation to farm.
