The Food Sovereignty Program requests Statement of Qualifications for creating six eel baskets and hosting a hands-on workshop. Responsibilities include creating a supply list to project coordinator, constructing six eel baskets and coordinating a workshop with staff. (Note: only one eel basket has to be completed during the workshop). Requestors must provide own power tools.
Scope of Work
Cultural practitioner will create six eel baskets for the Karuk Tribe’s Department of Natural Resources’ Food Sovereignty Program.. The practitioner will be responsible for providing a list of needed supplies, creating six eel baskets and poles for each basket. Cultural Practitioner will be responsible for ensuring the baskets are functional, efficient, and environmentally friendly. Practitioner must have a minimum of two years of experience creating eel baskets.
