• Verify requests by contacting our office using official numbers
• Stay cautious if a caller asks for sensitive information
• Report suspicious calls to our office immediately

DON’T:
• Do NOT give your full Social Security Number over the phone
• Do NOT share your Medi-Cal, Medicare, or insurance numbers by phone
• Do NOT trust caller ID alone—even if it looks like our number
• Do NOT provide personal information to unexpected or unsolicited calls

REMEMBER:
Karuk Health & Human Services will never ask for sensitive personal information over the phone. If you receive a call requesting this information, it may be a scam.
