On Friday, September 25, 2026, representatives and community members from the Karuk Tribe traveled to the California State Capitol to celebrate Native American Day.

A Karuk demonstration dance was performed, and many of our people came together to make good medicine for the day and proudly represent what it means to be a part of the Karuk Tribe.

It was a beautiful, sunny day, and the gathering brought people together to celebrate one another and the diversity of cultures and traditions among Native American peoples.

This day was very special, and while Native American Day is one day set aside to celebrate who we are, we at the Karuk Tribe are proud to be Native American every day.

Yôotva to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so meaningful.
