Substance Use Disorder Programs
The Karuk Tribe’s Substance Use Disorder Programs provide comprehensive, culturally grounded support for individuals and families impacted by addiction. Services may include prevention education, counseling, treatment referrals, recovery planning, and ongoing peer support. Rooted in Tribal values, these programs emphasize healing, resilience, and the restoration of balance for both individuals and the community.
About the Program
Assessment: This is the doorway to services and referral to residential or detox facilities when appropriate.
Individual Counseling: Client-centered sessions with a counselor.
Group Counseling: Prevention, Relapse, and Youth groups available
Early Recovery Skills: Learn many basic skills needed to achieve initial sobriety.
Relapse Prevention: Designed to assist in maintaining abstinence by delivering information, support, and guidance.
MAT Program: Karuk SUDP provides opioid use disorder treatment for opioid dependence and addiction. Clinicians are experienced in treating addiction, and extremely dedicated to the treatment of opioid addiction and MAT
Social and Cultural Support: A group to aid clients in connecting with their unique cultural identities.This program works with all Tribal departments to coordinate care and support the Tribal goal of empowering members and promoting wellness and self-sufficiency.
