Summary

Responsible for cooking and plating all food order in an efficient, healthful, and attractive manner.  Maintains the buffet line at all times making sure it is attractive and fresh with good eye appeal to our guest.

Responsibilities

1.    Must be able to work in a fast food ticket time environment handling multiple tickets efficiently and accurately.

2.    Responsible for food preparation following standardized recipes.

3.    Ensure that all food is handled and cooked in a wholesome, sanitary manner.

4.    Maintain kitchen and supply room in a sanitary and organized fashion.

5.    Completes side duties and prep list as directed by the lead cook or chef in a timely and efficient manner.

6.    Follow plate presentation specifications as directed while working in the RR restaurant.

7.    Assist in kitchen inventory as directed by the Lead Cook or Chef and is knowledgeable about our inventory P& P’s and follows them.

8.    As needed and during slow business periods; help out in the dish pit and all areas of kitchen cleaning.

9.    Informs lead cook or the chef of any kitchen problems or issues that may arise.

10.  Keep all foods rotated and fresh using the FIFO method (first in first out)

11.   Make recommendations to lead cook or chef regarding menu, recipes procedures, food supply, quality, sanitation, etc.

12.   Write down items that are running low on or have used and are out of.

13.   Follow all of Rain Rock Casino’s departmental safety policies and procedures.

14.   Maintain appearance standards as outlined in departmental and RRC and Hotel policies.

15.   Answer the phone, and keeps an accurate transfer list of department phone extensions.

16.   Promote and maintain a team environment at all times.

17.    Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities & marketing programs to our guests.

18.    Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

19.    Shall be polite and maintain a priority system in accepting other position related job duties as assigned.

Standard Conduct

  2. Be available for local and out of the area travel as required for job related training and various activities.

  4. Demonstrated ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Additional Qualifications

Requirements

1.       Must be at least 18 years of age

2.       High School diploma or GED(required).

3.       Must possess current Food Handlers card.

4.       Two (2) years minimum experience preferred, and ability to read and understand recipes.

5.       Apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.

6.       Fine dining guest relations history preferred.

7.       Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.

8.       Highly self-motivated and directed.

9.       Good verbal and written communications skills.

10.   Keen attention to detail.

11.   Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

12.   Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

13.   Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

14.   Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable by the RRC’s insurance carrier.

15.   Willing to travel and participate intraining as recommended or required.

16.  Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain andmaintain a license) as a requirement for this position.

17.  Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.

18.  Must adhere to confidentiality policy.

19.  Must successfully pass a drug screening test and criminalbackground check.

20.  Indian preference will be observed in the hiring process.

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

1.       The noise level in the workenvironment is usually loud.

2.       Must be available to work in asmoke-filled environment.

3.       Must be able to work all shifts,weekends, and holidays.

4.       Must be able to lift and/or move upto 60 pounds.
