Kitchen Supervisor

As Kitchen Supervisor, you’ll run the back-of-house with confidence: directing your team, keeping quality high, and making sure every plate that goes out reflects the Rain Rock standard. Responsibilities
· Lead daily kitchen operations – prep, cooking, plating, and service execution.
· Supervise and coach Lead Cooks, Line Cooks, and Dish Machine Operators.
· Run pre-shift meetings, manage workflow, and keep ticket times on point.
· Enforce food safety, sanitation, and FIFO standards – every shift, no exceptions.
· Support the Executive Chef with scheduling, inventory, training, and kitchen systems.
Standard Conduct
- Adheres to Tribe's and Program's confidentiality and personnel policies.
- Be available for local and out of the area travel as required for job related training and various activities.
- Attends all required meetings, trainings and functions.
- Be polite and maintain a priority system in accepting other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Native American youth and family members in culturally diverse environments.
- Displays the ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with other employees and the public.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage time well and work under stressful conditions with an even temperament.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Additional Qualifications
· 2+ years in kitchen or food service operations, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
· Current California Food Managers Certification (or ability to obtain).
· Strong grasp of kitchen workflow, food safety practices, and quality standards.
· Casino or high-volume kitchen experience is a plus – but great leaders are always welcome.
· Reliable, accountable, and cool under pressure – you set the tone for your team.
Requirements
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Minimum two (2) years’ experience in kitchen or food service operations.
· At least one (1) year in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
· Strong understanding of kitchen operations, workflow, and food safety practices.
· Casino or high-volume kitchen experience preferred.
· Must possess and maintain a current California Food Managers Certification.
· Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
· Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining standards.
· Demonstrated ability to lead teams, enforce accountability, and maintain professionalism.
· Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
· Basic math and inventory awareness skills required.
· Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or ability to obtain and maintain).
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
· Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
· Must comply with all company policies, gaming rules and regulations, including confidentiality requirements and workplace conduct standards.
· Indian Preference will be observed in accordance with Tribal hiring policies.
