Language Program Request for Participation

The Karuk Language Program is seeking input from community members for our upcoming grant proposal to the Administration for Native Americans.  Language Program staff will hold a series of meetings in January to discuss potential projects for revitalizing the language. This will be a chance for community members to tell us what they want from the Language Program, and to help us create a strong project proposal to the ANA so that we have funding for the next three years!

 

We will select 6-10 people for each meeting, which may be videotaped. We will hold one meeting each in Happy Camp, Orleans, and Yreka, and possibly one in the Arcata/Eureka area depending on level of interest in participating. The meetings will be approximately 1-2 hours in length.

 

Participants will receive a free copy of the Karuk Dictionary or the Karuk Voices video.  If you would like to participate, please fill out this short APPLICATION and return it by Monday, December 27, 2010, to:
